About Us

The Northbrook Symphony Orchestra’s (NSO) mission is to provide high quality symphonic music that captivates the listener and engages the next generation of audiences. Since his appointment as Music Director in the 2019-20 season, Maestro Zikri has transformed the Northbrook Symphony into one of the great arts organizations in the Chicagoland area. Robert Chen, CSO Concertmaster and NSO Artistic Creative Partner, offers programming insight and performs annually with the NSO. We offer concerts throughout the academic year. Youth ages 6-17 enjoy complimentary admission with an adult. We regularly offer a Family Concert with music that appeals to all ages. For community engagement we collect musical instruments and provide complimentary admission for underserved communities. We also work closely with schools and invite students to attend our concerts through our Schools in Concert program.
