This holiday season The Winnetka Youth Organization, Haven Youth and Family Services, Glencoe Youth Services, and the Wilmette Warming House are collaborating in an effort to bring wellness to dozens of individuals and families through The Night Ministry, a local Chicago non-profit aimed at providing services to those experiencing homelessness. Essential hygiene and winter weather items are being collected which can be distributed to the residents of The Night Ministry’s housing programs and on the Chicago streets through their outreach bus.Through November 12, 2013 until December 13, 2013, each organization will be collecting the following items:

hats, gloves, and long underwear
Items can be dropped off at the participating organizations during their open hours or at a drop box located in the Winnetka Community House. Items will be sorted and packed into stockings made by our local teens during a holiday youth celebration with music and food hosted at the WYO drop-in center.
