Learn about one of Chicago's most fascinating women, Bertha Palmer. Queen of Chicago society at the height of the Gilded Age, Mrs. Palmer was renowned for her jewels, designer gowns, and collections of Impressionist masterpieces. She was also an astute businesswoman and was the influential Chairman of the board of Lady Managers for the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893. Author and tour leader Sally Sexton Kalmbach will include rare family photos in her presentation.
