North Shore Senior Center is hosting the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra for a series of three chamber music concerts during the winter of 2014. The third and final concert, "Take Five: Mozart and Brahms," is scheduled for Sunday, March 16, at 3 p.m. It features “Quintet for Two Violins, Two Violas, and Violoncello in B flat Major, K. 174” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and “Quintet for Two Violins, Two Violas, and Violoncello in G Major, Op. 111” by Johannes Brahms. Guest CPS musicians are Mathias Tacke and Rika Seko (violin), Paul Zafer and Richard Neff (viola), and Emily Hu (violoncello). Individual concert tickets are $19 for members and $25 for non-members. The concert is free for students 18 years or younger. This concert series has been sponsored, in part, by Von Maur, Radford Green at Sedgebrook and Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter. The series benefits the Chicago Philharmonic Society and North Shore Senior Center.
