North Shore Senior Center is hosting the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra for a series of three chamber music concerts during the winter of 2014. The second concert, "Beethoven and Beyond," is scheduled for Sunday, February 23, at 3 p.m. It features “Quartet in E flat Major for Piano, Violin, Clarinet and Cello, Op.1” by Walter Rabl, “Trio in B flat Major, Op.11” by Ludwig van Beethoven, and “Quartet in E flat Major for Piano, Violin, Clarinet, and Cello” by Peter Schickele. Guest CPS musicians are Jennifer Cappelli (violin), Gene Collerd (clarinet), Paula Kosower (cello) and Ivana Bukvich (piano). Individual concert tickets are $19 for members and $25 for non-members. The concert is free for students 18 years or younger. This concert series has been sponsored, in part, by Von Maur, Radford Green at Sedgebrook and Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter. The series benefits the Chicago Philharmonic Society and North Shore Senior Center.
