Remarkable Southern Women Writers
The American South has produced more than its share of great authors. Join Connie Garner, former Humanities and English Professor, to explore the works of three of the finest: Flannery O'Connor of Georgia, Eudora Welty of Mississippi and Katherine Anne Porter of Texas. We will discuss "Everything that Rises Must Converge" by O'Connor for the first session, "Petrified Man" by Eudora Welty for the second, and "That Tree" by Porter on the third. Reading the story in advance is ideal, but not required.
