Township Clerk Jerome Hoynes wants residents to be aware that those who are eligible and interested in voting in the upcoming primary election on March 18, 2014 can register to vote at the Township Office Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Two forms of identification, one with your current address, are required at all voter registration sites.

In addition, residents can also register at the Winnetka Village Manager’s Office, second floor of Winnetka Village Hall, 510 Green Bay Road, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Residents can register to vote at the Wilmette Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Avenue, in the general office on the main floor. The office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday or from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

First time voters or those registering for the first time in Glencoe can visit the Glencoe Village Hall at 675 Village Court in Glencoe. Call for additional information at 847-853-4111.
February 18, 2014 is the last day to register to vote for the primary election. Thereafter, voters may register through the Grace Period Registration and Voting Period until March 15, 2014. Early Voting begins on March 3 and ends on March 15.

To register to vote you must be:
• A U.S. citizen
• At least 18 years old by Election Day
• A resident of your precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day
• You must bring two pieces of identification, one of which must display your current address. Acceptable forms of ID include Illinois state ID, employee or student ID, credit card, social security card, birth certificate, utility bill in applicant’s name, mail postmarked to the applicant, or a valid U.S. passport.

Voting at Age 17
New in 2014, U.S. citizens who were born on or before November 4, 1996 can register to vote in the March 18, 2014 Primary Election because they will turn 18 before the November 4, 2014 General Election.
