The Walk is about 3.5 miles long. Walkers are welcome to come to event site in Arvey Field in Grant Park and stay during the walk if the distance is too long for them to walk. Walkers are also welcome to turn around at any point in the walk if they feel they have gone as far as they comfortably. Registration closes at noon (local time) the Friday before the walk. However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until December 31, 2015.
The walk path is paved. Strollers are welcome at the walk. No dogs are allowed at the walk. However service dogs for the disabled are welcome. Additional walk details will be sent to registered walkers via our email newsletter. Please make sure Chicago@AFSP.org is in your address book or in your email service’s white list.
