Northbrook Symphony Concert Violins of Hope
The 43rd season of the Northbrook Symphony concludes on Sunday, June 4 in a concert featuring the Violins of Hope. This private collection of violins played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust will be played by NSO musicians and the soloist. The music program includes Bruch’s Violin Concert in G minor with soloist Masha Lakisova, winner of the Arkady Fomin Scholarship of the North Shore Chamber Music Festival. In addition, the orchestra will perform Dvorak’s Symphony #9 “From the New World” – symbolic of immigrants finding a new homeland in America. Children ages 5 and older receive complimentary tickets.
