The 2018 New York Times Best Seller, How Democracies Die, on how elected  political leaders gradually subvert the democratic process to increase their political power, will be discussed on Wednesday, August 7 at 7 pm in the  Lloyd Room of the Winnetka Public Library.  Using global examples, Harvard political scientists  Steven Livitsky and Daniel Ziblatt demonstrate the ways we need to strengthen our American democracy.  Books are available at the Bookstall, the library, and Amazon.
