More About the Authors: Sara Fujimura writes sweet and swoony young adult fiction. She started off as a journalist, so it is no surprise that her young adult romance books contain a lot of fact to go along with the fiction. Her new book, Every Reason We Shouldn't is a charming multicultural romance perfect for the many fans of Jenny Han and Rainbow Rowell. Warning: Contains family expectations, delightful banter, great romantic tension, skating (all kinds!), Korean pastries, and all the feels.
Chandra Blumberg writes funny, heartwarming love stories about characters that feel real and relatable. Born and raised in Michigan, Chandra moved to the Chicago area after majoring in English at Michigan State University. When she’s not writing, she enjoys lifting heavy barbells at the gym, making a mess of the kitchen while baking alongside her four kids, and traveling with her family. Her new book, Second Tide's the Charm is perfect for those who eagerly await Shark Week and love brilliant scientist heroines. It’s anything but smooth sailing for two marine biologists with a romantic past when they find themselves unexpectedly working together on a shark study broadcast over social media in this charming celebration of Black love.
Arden Joy is the author of the vibrant LGBTQIA+ rom-com Keep This Off the Record, a critically acclaimed queer remake of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. From the moment they locked eyes in high school, Abby and Freya have been at each other’s throats. Fifteen years later, when Abby and Freya cross paths again, their old rivalry doesn’t take more than a few minutes to begin anew. When Arden is not stirring up trouble for fictional characters or helping tired parents find peace, she runs Girls Who Travel, an award-winning community empowering over 100,000 women to explore the world. Based in Chicago with her husband, two children, and dog, Arden is dedicated to inspiring people to cultivate love, connection, and adventure - both on and off the page.
