DO’S and DON’TS: *DO wear comfortable clothing, dress in layers as temperature fluctuation is common during active breath. *DO bring a yoga mat to lie on ( if you don’t have, there will be some to borrow) and anything else that may make you more comfortable (I like a blanket and eye mask, I’ll have extra eye masks if you don’t have) and a water for post session. *DON’T eat a big meal right before you come CONTRAINDICATIONS-please contact your doctor before participating if you have any of the below contraindications While this sounds a little intense (it is) and a bit out there/woo-woo (yep)- CCB has helped me in such a profound way. I have tried countless therapeutic modalities and there is nothing quite like CCB. I hope you decide to come see for yourself!

Tuesday July 15 7:30-8:30pm Reach Yoga 688 Vernon Ave Glencoe $35
*CCB has many benefits to the mind, body, and spirit
*Done breathing entirely through your mouth, while lying on your back.
*3 part (2 inhales, 1 exhale) circular breath (inhale connected to exhale)
*CCB allows you to bypass the ego and thinking mind and gain access to subconscious and unconscious mind where we hold repressed memories, unexpressed emotions, and trauma.
What to expect?
*First and foremost- expect nothing! Whatever you experience is the experience you are meant to have, and will be different every time.
*It is common to feel a powerful release, both emotionally and physically. However even if you feel nothing, it doesn’t mean nothing is happening….
*I’ll begin the session by going over what you might experience (body, mind, emotion), demonstrating the breath technique, and answering any questions. Then I will guide you through 22-28 minutes of ACTIVE breath set to LOUD mainstream music, ending with a SCREAM (sounds strange but it is an incredible release!), followed by REST AND RECEIVE time, return to “normal” breath, process, and simply be with your experience. CCB isn’t easy, it will feel uncomfortable at times; HOWEVER all of the payoff lives in this uncomfortable space. It is of utmost importance to keep in mind that although I am guiding, you, the breather is in complete control and can soften or deepen the experience as you see fit. Come with an open mind, leave with an open heart.
*DO come sober
*DON’T call an ex or make major decisions immediately after session
*DO make time for self care post session: journal, salt bath, etc
*DON’T hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns
*DON’T participate without contacting your doctor first if you have any of the contraindications (see list below)
*History of cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, or you have a pacemaker
*Glaucoma, retinol detachment
*Osteoporosis
* Significant recent physical injury or surgery
*Epilepsy
* Severe mental illness or suffered a psychotic episode requiring hospitalization
*Personal or family history of aneurysms
*Pregnancy
