The Book Stall (811 Elm Street in Winnetka) welcomes Coinneach MacLeod to the store on Saturday, March 1 at 2:00 pm! Recognized as Scotland’s "Food & Drink Influencer of the Year", Coinneach MacLeod, The Hebridean Baker, visits the US in 2025. We are so happy to be one of the stops on his tour! He’ll be discussing and signing copies of his new book, The Hebridean Baker: The Scottish Cookbook. Coinneach will be joined by Paula Johannesen Desimone, the current Scottish Fiddler National Champion, who will add some music to the festivities. While this program is free, registration is required.

About Our Musical Guest: Paula Johannesen Desimone is a Chicagoland Violinist, violist, fiddler, and teacher. Paula is the current Scottish Fiddle National Champion, and has placed in Nationals 3 years running, and Chicago 2 years running. She currently plays in two Chicago-based bands: Trillium the Band, and The Chancey Brothers, and accompanies Scottish Country Dancing with Reel of Four. As a classical violinist, Paula performs all over Illinois, and is an Alum of Civic Orchestra of Chicago. When she’s not playing, listening to, watching, studying, or thinking about music, Paula enjoys writing, reading, losing at Mario Kart, The Chicago Cubs, and encouraging people to use the Oxford Comma.
