New Trier Township will sponsor a presentation by professional career coach Kay McBrearty at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 29 in the Board Room of the Township Office at 739 Elm Street in Winnetka. Ms. McBrearty of Waterville Partners is an expert who uses a proven framework, tools and resources to guide the career seeker’s pursuit to finding his/her unique path to a career fit. The program she will present at the Township will focus on guidance for students and recent graduates in navigating their career launch as well as advice for their parents in support of that process, however the material she presents is appropriate for all job seekers and all are welcome.

With an impressive 20-year corporate career prior to coaching and a successful track record in guiding the career process for young adults and those in career transitions, Ms. McBrearty is a wonderful resource to job seekers in the Township community. The program will challenge students and recent graduates to reflect on their strengths and interests to refine their personal goals, learn the steps for making successful career transitions post college and explore approaches to developing practical action plans aligned to individual goals. In addition, the program will provide information and inspiration to parents interested in better understanding the transition process facing their young adult children as they attempt to begin their careers. This interactive seminar will provide useful information for young adults as they navigate from college to productive, fulfilling careers.
