Ambassador Meeting - WNG Chamber
WNG Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee Overview - JOIN US
The Ambassador Committee plays a vital role in shaping the member experience and strengthening the Chamber's community. As a key extension of the Chamber's leadership team, Ambassadors serve as enthusiastic advocates for the Chamber, its mission, and its members. Their primary purpose is to foster strong relationships, enhance member engagement, and ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment at all Chamber-related functions.
Core Responsibilities
Ambassadors are the Chamber?s frontline representatives and are instrumental in the following areas:
- Welcoming and Engagement:
Ambassadors help create a positive and approachable atmosphere at events such as monthly luncheons, Business After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings, and Grand Openings. They welcome attendees, make introductions, and help new or prospective members feel at ease and included. - Member Support and Retention:
Ambassadors assist with both member acquisition and retention by initiating outreach to existing members, encouraging participation in Chamber events, and offering personal follow-up to those who may be less engaged. They provide guidance to new members, helping them navigate the Chamber?s offerings and connect with others in the business community. - ?Buddy? Program for New Members:
Each new member is paired with an ambassador who serves as a point of contact during their first year of membership. This "buddy" system helps ensure that new members receive personalized attention, understand how to get involved, and are aware of resources available to them. - Event Support and Visibility:
Ambassadors assist with event logistics including check-in, name tags, and general coordination. Their visible presence helps maintain a vibrant, well-organized atmosphere and ensures that every attendee has a positive experience. - Chamber Promotion and Representation:
Ambassadors are encouraged to promote the Chamber in their own networks, act as liaisons to the business community, and represent the Chamber at community functions or civic gatherings when appropriate.
To maintain active Ambassador status, members are expected to:
- Attend a majority of Chamber events throughout the year.
- Regularly participate in Ambassador Committee meetings.
- Engage with assigned new members and maintain regular outreach.
- Serve as a positive and professional representative of the Chamber at all times.
