SUMMARY:Winnetka Children's Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Winnetka Children's Fair will celebrate it 72nd  anniversary in 2017! The Fair is hosted and organized by the Winnetka Community Nursery School Board of Directors\, with aid from hundreds of local volunteers and the support of several area businesses.\n\nConceived as a fundraiser in 1945\, and hosted in the Ryerson family backyard\, the Children's Fair has grown to become one of the most treasured childhood events to Winnetka residents.\n\nThe Fair marks the unofficial beginning of summer and is scheduled annually to coincide with the last Friday morning of classes in the Winnetka public schools. Children race to the Village Green upon dismissal to enjoy hot dogs & treats\, play games\, and experience pony\, camel and carnival rides. Though the Fair serves as a fundraiser for WCNS\, financial success is secondary to preserving our beloved tradition. The Board of Directors considers the Fair to be a gift to the children of our community.\n\nWe hope to see you on the Village Green June 9th & 10th\, 2017!
