The show will include a number of Wolf's most recent paintings. On Friday\, March 1st\, the gallery will be hosting its monthly First Friday Art Opening for the exhibit from 5-7 PM. \n\n \n\nWolf was born in Germany and emigrated to the United States at a young age. One of her earliest memories is of a painting by her mother\, also an artist.. Wolf now works and lives in Chicago\, with her studio in the Bridgeport neighborhood. Her bright\, large-scale abstract works represent visualizions of her thoughts and are meant to inspire creative ideas in the viewer.. Using contrasting color combinations and energetic brushstrokes\, her artwork uplifts and energizes viewers and spaces. Wolf's exploration of depth and dimension within tone and color creates works that challenge viewers intellectually\, invite curiosity\, and invoke pleasure. In this particular exhibit\, as its name suggests\, Wolfe's goal is to focus on the more playful aspects of life in a world that is seemingly packed full of moments of consequence. In doing so\, she aims for her work to provide a break from the seriousness of everyday life.\n\n \n\nIn addition to the opening for Wolfe\, the First Friday will feature a multimedia exhibit entitled Vivid Media\, featuring the work of a number of artists from New Trier High School. The show will be curated by current New Trier junior Kate Satter in a project designed to highlight the artistic talents of young\, emerging artists.
