DESCRIPTION:Vivid Art Gallery is hosting a special exhibit featuring work by local gallery artists on Saturdays only during the month of January. Entitled January Salon\, the show includes pieces from Chicago-area artists that reflect the current winter season\, as well as the hope of the upcoming Spring. Specifically\, the work of at least five artists will be on display: Sheila Arora\, Julie Cowan\, Jane D'Angelo\, David Keel\, Matthew Schaefer\, and Larry Simon. \n\n \n\nAs the show's title suggests\, the show is filled with a variety of types of art. These artists work in various media and with different color palettes\, ranging from bright and colorful to more muted tones. Work included ranges in subject matter from abstract expressionism to vibrant\, charming landscapes. Digital impressionist photographs are also a part of the exhibit\, with the blurred lens creating an intriguing dichotomy that provokes thoughtful contemplation.                  \n\n \n\nThere will not be a First Friday for this show\, but please stop by to see this exhibit on Saturdays. The gallery will resume normal hours on Saturday\, February 1st.
