Arora is a Chicago artist who gleans inspiration from the idiom that "less is more\," the result of a recent artistic epiphany. This exhibit is a collection of these more minimalist works\, depicting scenes from the lakefront to the bustling downtown. There will be an opening reception for this exhibit on Friday\, March 6th from 5-7 PM. \n\n \n\nAs the show's title suggests\, Arora does not plan her paintings ahead of time\, instead seeing where her process takes her. Discussing her approach\, she says\, "it's a conversation on the canvas that is sometimes wild\, rebellious\, mostly casual\, half-organized and always well structured. I go for unexpected marks\, awkward color palettes\, and a composition that's off-centered but balanced."
