DESCRIPTION:Every year during Fire Prevention Week in October\, the Winnetka Fire and Police Departments host a joint open house.  This event has been taking place for many years and is one of the most popular family events of the season. \n\n	\n\n	This year the Winnetka Fire and Police Department Open House will be on October 13 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm\, at 428 Green Bay Road in Winnetka\n\n	\n\n	During the Open House there will be Police department activities:  tour the center and a display of police vehicles and equipment. The event will also provide an opportunity for children to meet and talk with a police officer and to take home some gifts\, including child identification kits. Food will be provided from Winnetka establishments....items from this mini Taste of Winnetka are complimentary.
