DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Book Stall (811 Elm Street in Winnetka) on Saturday\, October 4th at 10:30 am for a special storytime featuring authors Kari Lavelle and Lindsay Leslie! The authors will be sharing their newest picture books and signing their works! Ms. Lavelle will be reading Butt or Face? Volume 3: Super Gross Butts\, round three of the hilarious\, award-winning\, guessing game picture book! Discover fascinating facts about disgusting animals while guessing if you're looking at a butt or a face! Ms. Leslie will share her newest picture book\, Gus Hearts the Bus\, a story about finding your passion and jumping aboard! Gus loves buses so much\, he learns everything he can\; from memorizing routes to learning each bus's number and its destination. This event is perfect for kids ages 4 to 8.\n\n\n\nMore about the Authors: Kari Lavelle is the author of the hilarious Butt or Face? series\, We Move the World\, and An Ode to Grapefruit\, a picture book biography of James Earl Jones. The Butt or Face series is an ALSC Notables Pick\, Texas Topaz Nonfiction Reading List Pick\, Texas 2x2 Reading List Pick\, and has made state lists in Virginia\, Maryland\, California\, Missouri\, and more! She is a member of SCBWI and 12x12 and enjoys taking classes at the Writing Barn. Kari lives in Austin\, Texas with her family.\n\n\n\nLindsay Leslie is the author of This Book Is Spineless\, Nova the Star Eater\, Dusk Explorers\, and So You Want to Build a Library. Gus is based on the author's own son's infatuation with the Austin city buses as a young child. He was so knowledgeable\, he even was offered an internship (when he got old enough) from the director of public transit! She lives in Austin\, Texas.\n\n\n\nThe Book Stall is an independent bookstore and cultural institution on Chicago's North Shore.
