SUMMARY:Saturday Storytime at The Book Stall with Clothilde Ewing and “Stella and Roger Can't Wait to Grow Up"
DESCRIPTION:The Book Stall (811 Elm Street in Winnetka) hosts author Clothilde Ewing on Saturday\, Oct. 12th at 10:30 AM for a story time featuring her new picture book\, Stella and Roger Can't Wait to Grow Up. In the effervescent third book in the Stella picture book series\, Stella and Roger imagine all the incredible grown-up things they can do when they're older! This event is free and open to the public. Recommended for ages 3 and up!\n\n \n\nMore About the Book: Stella can't wait to turn seven! She and her best friend\, Roger\, agree seven-year-olds get to have much more fun. But the more grown-up you are\, the more you can do\, so maybe Stella will skip seven altogether and go straight to eight years old! Anything's better than being six. Being seven or eight is being practically a grown-up\, like Stella's neighbor Eva. Eva does all kinds of thing Stella can't yet--real grown-up things like eating vegetables...getting a job... Wait! Maybe Stella didn't think this all the way through.\n\n\n\nMore About the Author: Clothilde Ewing started her work life as a lifeguard\, but she has spent most of her career telling people's stories as a journalist (CBS News)\, television producer (The Oprah Winfrey Show)\, and communications professional. She loves using the written word to honor a child's imagination and is on a mission to help adults tap into the wonder they felt as children. She believes that one of the greatest lessons we can pass on to our kids is that differences are for celebrating\, and that we have more in common than we ever imagined. A native of Cleveland\, she lives in Chicago with her husband and two highly energetic children. Discover more at www.clothildeewing.com. \n\n \n\nThe Book Stall is an independent bookstore and cultural institution on Chicago's North Shore. We're known for our great selection of books\, cards\, and gifts\, as well as our long-running author event series\, including Saturday Storytime. Learn more at www.thebookstall.com.
