SUMMARY:Music as the Muse with Stacy L
DESCRIPTION:Join Stacy for a soulful\, music-driven yoga experience rooted in the ancient idea of the Muse as a divine source of inspiration. In yoga philosophy\, the Muse appears as the creative life force of the feminine\, depicted as Saraswati\, goddess of music\, art\, science and wisdom. In traditions all over the world\, the Muses were goddesses who awakened creativity\, art\, and truth by helping humans access something beyond the rational mind. The word music itself comes from Muse.\n\nIn modern times\, female artists in music have influenced our culture and helped inspire generations to come. Through their powerful voices and unapologetic authenticity\, they embody the timeless Muse archetype: mystic\, deeply intuitive\, complex and often misunderstood.\n\nThis all-levels vinyasa flow class will be set to the iconic sounds and lyrics of modern Muses influential singer-songwriters and storytellers such as Stevie Nicks\, Carole King\, Joni Mitchell\, Tracy Chapman\, the Indigo Girls and more. Through music\, movement and breath\, we'll turn to the Muse as a guide to open the channel of inspiration so that our own creative expression can move through us.\n\nSurrounded by candlelight\, this class includes a 75 minute vinyasa flow with time for deep relaxation\, followed by a 15 minute guided meditation with oracle cards to help you reconnect with your own intuition and the inspiration that lives within you.
