DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Book Stall on Tuesday\, August 26 at 6:00 pm for a humorous discussion featuring Oak Wealth Advisors' founder and president\, Mike Walther\, author of It's Okay to Laugh: Humorous Stories from the Disability Community. Through heartwarming\, hilarious\, and deeply human stories\, this uplifting collection celebrates the joy\, resilience\, and unexpected comedy that families and individuals with disabilities experience every day. A must-read for anyone who believes in humor as healing. Mike will be in-conversation with Randi Gillespie\, Director of Special Needs Services\, Oak Wealth Advisors LLC. \n\n\n\nMore About the Book: Oak Wealth Advisors\, nationally known for their special needs planning expertise\, has created a book celebrating the humor and joy in the disability community. Laughter really is the best medicine--especially in the disability community. The book is meant to be a feel-good resource that people can turn to after a challenging day or anytime when they want to improve how they are feeling.\n\n\n\nFounded 17 years ago by Mike Walther\, whose brother is on the autism spectrum\, Oak Wealth Advisors has assisted countless families in planning for their futures and the futures of their loved ones with disabilities. During meetings\, national presentations\, and university lectures\, the leaders at Oak Wealth Advisors heard funny stories from clients and others in the special needs community. Then\, a couple years ago\, Mike Walther\, suggested\, "Why don't we take the time to document and share all the funny stories people are telling us?" This was the catalyst for the book which Oak Wealth Advisors hopes will bring some levity to families who often feel overwhelmed by the challenges they face. Colleague Randi Gillespie\, the Oak Wealth Advisors' Director of Special Needs Services\, shared\, "I've got a zillion stories about my own daughter that I can contribute." As it turned out\, they were not alone. Many families willingly shared funny anecdotes and stories about their loved ones.\n\n\n\nOak Wealth Advisors is dedicated to improving the lives of families with loved ones with disabilities. Their mission is to positively impact as many families as possible through compassionate financial and special needs planning. Every team member has a personal connection to the disability community\, bringing both empathy and expertise to their work. In addition to providing planning and investment management\, Oak Wealth educates through university courses and national speaking engagements. They collaborate with specialists to deliver personalized resources and are committed to learning from and uplifting the community they serve.
