DESCRIPTION:Hubbard Woods comes alive on First Friday nights!\n\n \n\nThe Hubbard Woods Design & Dine district (HWDD)\, in partnership with the North Shore Art League (NSAL)\, will be hosting its annual "Art Attack" event on First Friday\, October 4th! That night\, each participating store will host an artist and their work\, many from the North Shore Art League\, from 5-8 PM. It's an indoor art show! There were also be a live art painting demonstration by NSAL artist Diana deMeuse. In addition\, each store will feature its own signature libation. "Talented artists exhibiting their work in our stores seems a perfect fit\, and an ideal way to promote both our businesses and the Art League."\n\n \n\n"We're always looking for ways to raise the level of awareness about the Art League in the eyes of the community and beyond\," said NSAL Executive Director Linda Nelson.  "There are so many accomplished artists at the League and so many artistic stores within the Design + Dine District.  It is an ideal match   shops and galleries that appeal to the artistic-minded and artwork that highlights local talent. We've been lucky to enjoy large crowds on Art Attack evenings\, which has become such a great community event!" A portion of all sales of exhibited NSAL artwork will help fund the nonprofit North Shore Art League's outreach and scholarship endeavors.\n\n \n\nThose stores hosting an artist will be identified with festive "Art Attack" signs and balloons out front. Art Attack maps are available at all locations. Attendees are also invited to dine at The Fat Shallot food truck\, which will be parked on Green Bay Rd. in front of Hubbard Woods Park. The HWDD puts on a series of events every year to engage the community in what the area has to offer.  \n\n \n\nThe Hubbard Woods Design and Dine is an association of businesses located in the three-block retail area on the north end of Winnetka along Green Bay Road between Tower Road and Scott Avenue\, commonly referred to as "Hubbard Woods."
