DESCRIPTION:Opens September 15th \n\nA Traveling Exhibit created by the Winnetka Historical Society\n\n \n\nBeginning September 15th the Exhibit\, Creating Communities: A History of the North Shore will open at the North Shore Senior Center. Visitors are encouraged to explore the history of the North Shore's early settlers\, transportation\, commercial development\, architecture\, recreation and notable women. In addition the exhibit provides opportunities to examine fascinating artifacts such as wedding shoes\, a bus and train belted coin dispenser\, wooden ice skates\, an engraved bowling pin and more!  \n\nIn November\, specific exhibit topics will travel to the Community House Winnetka and the Winnetka Public Library.
